1. Install and Activate the WooCommerce Min-Max Quantities Plugin

2. Navigate to Min/Max Quantity Rules Plugin General Settings

In WordPress Admin Dashboard: Navigate to Woosuite » Min/Max Quantity Rules.

3. Set Global Default Quantity

Now, scroll down to the Global Default Quantity and set the default quantity as you want. I have set it as 5. 

4. Save Changes

Click on the ‘Save Changes’ button at the top right corner to save the changes.

Now let’s test the settings. To test the settings, visit any of the product pages on your store and you’ll see that the default quantity has been changed to the one you set. 

Method 2: Change the WooCommerce Default Quantity For Individual Products

In this section, we will now look at the settings on a product level, if set it will overdrive the global level setting.

1. Edit the Product for which You want to change the default quantity

From the WordPress Dashboard, navigate to the Products »  All Products.

Hover your mouse on the product, and click on the Edit button to edit the Product.

2. Set the Default Quantity

On the product edit page, scroll down to the Product Data section, and in the Default 

Quantity field, enter the quantity you want. I have added 2.

3. Update the Product

After that, scroll a bit above and click on the Update button to save the changes. 

5. Final Results

Now let’s visit the product page to see the changes. And you’ll see that the default quantity has been changed.
