Now, make sure you are in the general settings of the plugin and scroll down to the “Convert Cart to Quote” field. You’ll get three options;
- Disabled
- In Cart Totals
- Below Checkout Button
This tutorial is focused on displaying the button in the cart totals so I have selected “In Cart Totals”.
4. Convert Cart to Quote Button Label
Now we need to convert the cart to a quote button label. The default label field would be empty and the users will see the “Request a Quote” text but as we are focusing on the shipping quotes so I have changed the text to “Request a Shipping Quote”.
5. Enable Shipping Quote for Guests
You can enable or disable the quote for guests. I have enabled it so that when a guest user will come, he/she will also see the quote in cart totals.
Note: Make sure you have added at least one shipping method else the “Request a Shipping Quote” label won’t be displayed.
6. Save the Settings
Now, click on the Save Settings button at the bottom to save the settings.
7. Final Results
To test it, You need to visit your store as a guest and then add a product to the cart. Now when you’ll visit the cart page of your store you’ll see “Request a Shipping Quote” below the shipping options.
Once you click on it, you’ll be redirected to the “Request a Quote” page from where you can send a message to the admin.
Once you as a guest submits this form, you’ll see a message saying that “Your Quote Submitted Successfully”.
And the admin will receive an email about this quote. The email will look like the one below. You can reply to this email to contact the customers for the request, they submitted.
In your WordPress dashboard, you'll also see a notification informing you that there is a quote pending. Once you click on the quote, it will look like the image below. You'll have the option to give the user a custom price and also a custom shipping fee.
Once you've created the custom shipping fee, the user will be notified that the quote has been updated, and they'll have the option whether to accept or reject the quote proposed.
