How to Use a WooCommerce Reorder Plugin to Boost Sales?
Follow the following steps to display the previously purchased products by a customer in WooCommerce.
1. Install and Activate the WooCommerce Product Table Plugin
Note: You can skip this step if you have already installed and activated the WooCommerce Product Table plugin.
To install the WooCommerce Product Table plugin, you will need to install the Woosuite Core plugin and activate it with the help of a license key. We have created a Quick Start Guide for you to figure out how to install and activate the WooCommerce Product Table plugin.
2. Create a New Product Reorder Table
Once you have installed and activated the plugin, Now to show the products that users have previously purchased on any WooCommerce page or post, follow the given steps:
1. Add New Table
Navigate to Woosuite » Product Table from your WordPress dashboard and click on the Add New Table button.
Once you click it, you’ll see a screen where you can create and control the different table settings.
2. Give a Name to the Table
Now in the Order Form Display tab, give an internal name to the table. It would be best if you used a unique name as It will be helpful in case you are working with multiple product tables at a time.
3. Add Columns to the Table
Now expand the Order Form Information by clicking on the (▾)
Now, add the columns to the table. Just drag the columns from the Available Columns section and drop them in the Selected Columns section. You can add any columns you want.
You can also adjust the other settings like the image size and the description length. I am keeping them as the default.
4. Enable Bulk Add to Cart
Now expand the Bulk Add to Cart by clicking on the (▾)
4.1. Select the Add to Cart Display
Now select how to display the individual add to cart button in the table. You can display it in three ways:
- Buttons Only
- Checkbox Only
- Buttons and Checkbox
You can select any of them, but I am selecting the ‘Buttons and Checkbox.’
4.2. Enable the Quantity Selectors
Enable the quantity selectors in the add-to-cart column.
4.3. Select the Variations Display
From the “Variation Settings” dropdown, select “Dropdown lists in add to cart columns.”
3. Show Previously Purchased Products in Table
Now expand the Order Form Controls tab by clicking on the (▾)
1. Add a Product Rule
Because we want to display products that users have recently purchased, we will add a rule to our table to display the recently purchased products.
Click on the ‘Add Rule’ button to add a product rule.
2. Add a Product Condition
Once you click the button, you’ll see a new rule added with some fields. From here, you can select specific products displayed in the table.
You can filter products by:
- Products
- Categories
- Tags
- Attributes/Custom Taxonomies
- Recently Purchased
- Stock Status
- More options are coming soon
I’ll display the previously purchased products, so I have selected ‘Recently Purchased‘ from the Type dropdown.
And from the Compare dropdown, make sure you have selected ‘IN.’
3. Enable Product Filters
If your customers have purchased many products, these options will help them sort. You can decide whether you want to add a filter to your product table or not.
By default, this setting will be ‘Disabled.’ Follow the mentioned steps to enable it.
- Product Filters: Select this setting to ‘Custom’ to enable the product filters.
- Custom Filters: Select the options you want to show in the product filters. For instance, you can add categories to let your customers find previously ordered products based on the categories. You can enter multiple filters separated by a comma.
4. Save Changes
Once all the settings are done, click the green “Save Changes” button at the top right corner of your screen to save all the settings.
5. Copy the Shortcode of the Table
Now we need the table’s shortcode so that we can add the table anywhere in the post or page.
To copy the shortcode, go back to the plugin’s General Settings by clicking on the back arrow at the top.
Once you are in the plugin’s General Settings, you’ll see the table you just created at the bottom of the screen.
To use the shortcode, click on the Copy button next to the shortcode to copy it. You can use this shortcode to display the table on any post or page in your store.
6. Create a Dedicated Reorder Page
Once you have copied the shortcode, we need to paste it into the post or page where we want to add the products so that users can see the products they already have purchased.
I’ll creating a new reorder page in my store and add the product table to it.
You can paste the shortcode anywhere on your store to display the previously purchased products by the user.
1. Create a New Page
Navigate to Pages » Add New from your WordPress dashboard to create a new page.
2. Add the Page Title
Once you click it, you’ll be redirected to the page from where you can create a new page in your store.
First, we need to add the title of the page in the Add Title field.
3. Add the Shortcode Block
Now you will need to paste the shortcode of the product table onin the page where you want to add the products.
First, we need to add a Shortcode Block to paste the shortcode.
To add it, click on the Plus (+) button at the top left side of your screen.
Once you click the plus icon, you’ll see a list of available blocks. In the search bar, please search for the Shortcode block and click on it to add the shortcode block.
4. Paste the Shortcode
Now, paste the shortcode in the block that you copied earlier. It will display the products that users have previously purchased.
5. Publish the Page
Click on the Publish button at the top right corner to publish the page.
7. Final Results
Once the page is published, let’s visit the page, and you’ll see that the product table has been added.
Users can now see the previously purchased productsproducts they have purchased previously and add them to their cart without leaving the page.
Note: If you want to display the products on the “My Account” page, you need to install and activate a plugin to customize the “My Account” page. You can use the Customize My Account for WooCommerce plugin to customize it and add a link to the page on which you pasted the shortcode of the product table to reorder the products, on the “My Account page.”
